Sansevieria grandis, also known as Dracaena grandis after the reclassification of the genus Sansevieria into the genus Dracaena, is a perennial, succulent plant that belongs to the Asparagaceae family. Native to East Africa, especially Kenya and Somalia, this species is valued for its decorative, thick, fleshy leaves that can reach impressive lengths.

Sansevieria grandis has long, green leaves with lighter or darker vertical stripes, which can vary in shades of green and gray-green. The leaves are erect, wide, and flattened, with slightly wavy edges and a waxy texture. The plant can grow up to heights of 90-120 cm, developing slowly and forming compact groups of leaves.

Care

  • Light: Prefers bright places but also adapts to partial shade. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so it is advisable to place it near a window with east or west exposure.

  • Watering: Sansevieria grandis requires little water, being a succulent plant. The soil must dry completely between waterings. In warm periods, watering is done once every 1-2 weeks, and during winter, watering is significantly reduced, once a month being sufficient.

  • Temperature: Develops well at temperatures between 18°C and 27°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 10°C, as it can be harmful.

  • Humidity: Does not require high humidity. Normal indoor humidity conditions are sufficient for healthy growth.

  • Soil: Prefers well-drained, porous soil. A mix for cacti or succulents is ideal.

  • Fertilization: Fertilization is not frequently necessary. Apply a diluted fertilizer for succulents once a month during the active growth period (spring-summer).

  • Repotting: It is done when the roots become too crowded in the pot. It is recommended to do it at the beginning of spring.

  • Common issues: Overwatering is the most frequent problem, which can lead to root rot.

Height with pot included approx. 25 cm

Pretty good for price
Color: 5 Pack
Super nice! It makes my skin feel soft. The only thing is that it starts to get gray. I tried hand washing it, and putting it through the wash and it doesn’t come out.

Profoundly Deep and Spiritual Homilies
Format: Hardcover
Cardinal Cantalamessa's homilies are interesting and deep. I can't possibly read them except slowly and meditatively.

A readable set of reflections on Faith, Hope, and Charity
Format: Hardcover
Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa offers a series of wonderful theological and spiritual insights into the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity. Taking presentations on each of the virtues, the Cardinal edited each into smaller units, each three to four pages in length. This makes for easy reading (one could take a selection a day) for "lectio divina". His treatment of "Justification by Faith" puts what has been a "thorn of contention" into easily understood terms that can open itself to ecumenical dialog with other Christian denominations for whom this has been a point of misunderstanding of the Catholic position.

We can all be wise men bearing gifts to Jesus
Format: Hardcover
Faith, hope, and charity are not just virtues that we can develop to bring ourselves closer to God and our fellow person but they are also gifts that we can bring to God, writes this household preacher to two Popes. Cardinal Cantalamessa writes on serious topics with an accessible and joyful style that welcomes the reader to see him or herself as one of the Magi bringing precious and deeply meaningful gifts to Christ.
