The Variegated Snake Plant aka Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Laurentii’ is a classic houseplant grown by gardeners all across the world. The Variegated Snake Plant is a tough, low-maintenance houseplant that features tall, sword-shaped leaves with bold green centers and vibrant yellow edges. Ideal for beginners, it purifies indoor air and flourishes in low-light spaces.

Commonly called Mother in Law’s Tongue for the long vertical thin leaves that resemble swords. The yellow variegated leaves are banded yellow on either side with a deep green banded center. This tropical perennial spreads in its pot by rhizomes deep within the soil structure.

Snake plants are loved by many for their easy care & maintenance. They add a touch of green foliage and beautiful views to any home decor. One of the many benefits of Snake plants is that it cleans the air and removes toxins making it perfect for having inside your home!

Variegated Snake Plant Care

Wondering how to grow snake plants as indoor plants? They are one of the easiest house plants to grow. They can tolerate a variety of light conditions including low light but they thrive in partial indirect sunlight. They cannot tolerate full sun. Sansevieria plants prefer well draining soil like our Snake Plant Potting Soil.

One issue snake plants might encounter is root rot. This happens due to overwatering and causes the roots of the plant to become soggy. Do not overwater your snake plant. Only water when the top layer of the potting mix feels dry to the touch.

Snake plants are grown as indoor houseplants in temperate climates. They can be grown outdoors in USDA growing zones 9-11 where the weather is warm all year long.

I bought this toy because my dog spent a week playing with the same toy from Zanies that belonged to a visiting dog. My dog was very gentle with this toy, which he loved, so we decided to find one for him. The toy that arrived had no Zanies label and missing plush on the bottom where the label should have been, plus other bare spots in the area that showed the white mesh beneath. It also had a long thread at the joint of a rear leg so I knotted it at the joint and clipped it to prevent my dog from pulling at it but it's apparent that the sewing is loose and wont last long. The color was also much lighter than the toy he'd been playing with that belonged to the guest dog but I figured it might just be from a different dye lot (it was not bought at Amazon but their local pet store.) I am not convinced this is a real Zanies toy. There were two labels in French and it said it was made in China. I am returning this toy and will get a replacement and see how it looks. If it seems like it will fall apart or is not the real thing I will return it immediately. If it has a label and is in good shape and sewn well at the seams I'll revise this review.

This is a great toy!!! My dog has lots of toys. But one of the problems is he has trouble getting the squeaker to squeak. He's an 18 lb terrier mix, and those squeakers are just elusive. Breaks my heart. This one, though, the squeakers (there are two) are in small areas (head and tail), that are easy for him to get his whole mouth around and squeak. They also don't move, which also makes them easy to squeak. So he's been squeaking up a storm since he got this! Other plusses: * The material is great (soft, furry material, that seems to be of good quality). * The toy expands and contracts, which is fun. * It's pleasant to look at.
