Cercestis mirabilis is a very unusual arum lily from tropical West Africa.Cercestis grows very slowly, producing only a few (3 to 5) leaves per year. Like many philodendrons , it grows as a vine up to 10 meters long, but so slowly that there are hardly any pictures of climbing specimens. The leaves, however, are more reminiscent of an anthurium than a philodendron and can reach up to 1 meter in length. Young leaves have a pretty white marking for which this species is known. Unfortunately, this marking disappears more and more in larger plants (though it will take several years for this to happen with the young plants offered here). Instead, the leaf shape changes, and the leaves develop slits and holes, similar to those of Monstera .
Older plants produce so-called flagella, which can grow several meters long. These are long runners, similar to those produced by Syngonium , which they use to spread vegetatively over long distances.
Cercestis mirabilis appears to combine all the characteristics of commonly cultivated aroids. It grows like a philodendron , but with leaves like an anthurium . The mature leaves are similar to those of a monstera , yet it propagates like a syngonium . Despite this combination of characteristics, it is not closely related to any of these other plants. Within the Araceae family, it belongs to the tribe Culcasiae, and almost no species from this tribe are cultivated as houseplants.

Very well-made, nice valet, solid wood with a silicone surface
I really do love this white BROWN wooden valet Tray. It has taken it place right next to my bed on my nightstand. Currently it contains a flashlight, my watch charger, earbuds, remote control, and a walkie-talkie. They all fit perfectly, it really keeps my stand, neat and clean looking. I like these trays because they look so much better than things just laying randomly across your nightstand. It saves things from rolling off to the back of the nightstand against the wall, where I have to flex like an acrobat to reach them. These are perfect for any works surface as well. These would be welcome in the shop. I'm sure they would be great for a teacher, a kitchen a professional at their desk. Just about anywhere you need to put small items and store them temporarily.
One of the best things about it is that the bottom or at least the inside surface where you place items is not wooden. It appears to be some type of a silicone so you don't hear that wood sound when you drop things into it. It's soft and things don't roll or slide. It holds them in place exactly where you put them. The bottom came with four felt pads that you can stick on the bottom before you put it on your nightstand or wherever you're putting it. Keeps it from scratching any wooden surfaces. It has a nice rounded edges are very clean dark wood look and a great silicone mat on the inside, this is perfect for your nightstand. I really do enjoy it. Comedy no assembly required. It's well-made and it's a sturdy piece of wood. I highly recommend it.
