Crassula ‘Springtime’ is a compact, charming succulent hybrid (a cross between Crassula rupestris and Crassula perfoliata var. falcata), celebrated for its dense clusters of pink, fragrant flowers and neat, geometric foliage. A member of the Crassulaceae family, this South African native is perfect for adding texture, colour, and cheer to sunny indoor windowsills, rockeries, or succulent collections.

The plant forms tight rosettes of thick, grey-green, triangular leaves that grow opposite each other along short stems, giving it a tidy, symmetrical shape. In late winter through to spring, it produces clusters of star-shaped blooms in soft pink to rose tones, filling the air with a delicate, sweet fragrance.

Compact, slow-growing, and incredibly easy to care for, Crassula ‘Springtime’ is an ideal succulent for beginners and collectors alike, offering both structural foliage and seasonal floral beauty.

Crassula ‘Springtime’ – Care Guide

Light

Thrives in bright light to full sun. Indoors, place near a sunny south- or west-facing window to encourage flowering and maintain compact growth. Gradually acclimatise to intense sunlight to avoid leaf scorch.

Watering

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the growing season (spring and summer), water every 2–3 weeks depending on temperature. In winter, reduce watering to once a month or less. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems.

Temperature and Humidity

  • Temperature: Prefers warmth, 18–28°C, but can tolerate cooler temperatures down to 10°C. Protect from frost.

  • Humidity: Prefers dry air; no misting required.

Soil and Potting

Use a gritty, well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Add sand, perlite, or pumice to improve drainage. Repot every 2–3 years in spring, using a slightly larger pot if the plant becomes root-bound.

Feeding

Feed once a month in spring and summer with a diluted cactus fertiliser. Do not fertilise during winter dormancy.

Pruning and Maintenance

Remove spent flower stalks after blooming and any dried or damaged leaves at the base. Handle carefully, as the fleshy leaves can detach easily.

Growth and Maturity

A slow-growing succulent, reaching 15–20 cm tall and wide. With time, it may form small clumps of rosettes, producing a fuller and more impressive display.

Common Issues

  • Soft or mushy leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.

  • Wrinkled leaves: Underwatering or extended drought.

  • Elongated (leggy) growth: Insufficient light.

  • Pests: Occasionally mealybugs or aphids — treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Background and Benefits

Developed as a hybrid in cultivation, Crassula ‘Springtime’ combines the compact structure of Crassula rupestris with the striking floral display of Crassula falcata. Its name reflects its habit of blooming in late winter and spring, signalling the arrival of warmer days.

This plant’s sculptural rosettes and pastel blooms make it a delightful addition to succulent arrangements, alpine troughs, or windowsill gardens. Its low-water needs and high tolerance for neglect make it perfect for busy plant owners or those new to succulents.

These were my new "Go To" jeans, not so much after a wearing for a year
Size: 35W x 32L, Color: Antique Indigo, Size: 35W x 32L, Color: Antique Indigo
Love 'em already after only one day of wearing them. I am a 7 days a week, jeans wearing kind of guy pretty much. Office job and recreation. I got scared away from my usual beloved ***tco jeans because of the bad reviews on their site for their now "Made in China" 12.99 jeans which used to be made in Mexico. So off to Amazon to shop for my first Amazon clothes purchase. Found these Antique Indigo Wrangler jeans for just under double the warehouse price. Advantage was they had the exact size I wanted (35Wx32L) vs settling for either 34W or 36W at the warehouse. The waist size was exact. I measured the waist by folding the waist in half and measuring with a tape measure. 17.5 inches exactly (17.5" X 2 = 35"). Didn't measure the length. Color seems to be a tad darker than the Antique Indigo pictured on the website. To me they seem to be in between the Antique Indigo and Antique Navy in color, but that is just my opinion. I guess it could be monitor differences. Doesn't matter to me. Not sure it matters to anyone (it doesn't to me) but I decided to weigh these and compare them to my very worn 34x32 warehouse jeans. These were exactly 30ounces. The warehouse jeans were 27 ounces. These are Made in Mexico of US materials as stated on the tag. These will be my new go to jeans, even at double my usual price, until ***tco goes back to the old Mexican manufacturer. Yes, this is my real opinion not influenced by free or reduced price product for providing a review. Update March 21, 2017: So, here it is a year later. How do they measure up now? I have changed my review from 5 to 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. Weak patch (1/2 star deduction) - The Wrangler "patch" on the back has either ripped or started "peeling" off on two of three pairs purchased. Not that big of a deal as I just remove it completely when it starts hanging. The patch is made of some leatherish paper is the way I would describe it. Doesn't really seem to be cloth and certainly isn't leather. Would be nice and longer lasting if it was real leather. 2. Manufacturing variation (1/2 star deduction) - One pair of the three is maybe one inch shorter than the others. The length of two pairs is the same and long enough to lay on my shoes with a bit to spare. The other pair just barely makes it to my shoes. Not a deal breaker but I am conscious of that pair being shorter when I wear them. 3. Short pocket flaps (1 star deduction) - Not sure how to describe this. The part of the denim that enters the pocket and to which the white pocket material is sewn to, doesn't go deep enough into the pocket. The result is that this part partially pulls out of the pocket (or almost so), making the white pocket material marginally visible. I am very frequently aware of my pocket whites being displayed to the world and am frequently tucking them or pushing them back in. This is the worst aspect of these jeans for me. This might just be an aspect of the way these jeans fit on my body shape. If this denim part that enters into the pocket were just 1/2" or 1" deeper into the pocket, this would not be a problem. So far the durability of the jeans is great, other than the Wrangler patch. They don't really have to survive much in my day-to-day use of them, as I work in an office setting and don't wear a belt with my jeans, but they seem to be a match for the warehouse jeans I used to purchase. Would I buy again? To be honest, I would probably try another brand or maybe another style within the Wrangler family and only come back to these if I could not find anything better based on price and performance. These are okay jeans and I will continue to wear them to the end of their life.
