The patented Smart Pot is a soft-sided, fabric aeration container that has the rigidity to hold its shape. It is foldable and made with a UV stabilizer. It will last from 3 to 5 years, depending on location.

Smart Pots let the roots grow out to the side of the pot where they come in contact with air. The root tips then dry out and cause the plant to create more roots laterally, filling the container with more roots. Even though the Smart Pot is completely porous, it can be used with any medium without worrying about particles leaching out.

The aeration also releases heat, up to 30 degrees more than traditional plastic. With a cooler container, roots will grow even in hotter temperatures as well as keeping microorganism life alive and working.

  • Dimensions: 20" W x 15.5" H
  • Capacity: 20 gal. (2.67 cu.ft. volume)
  • This size is great for growing Tomatoes, Musk Melons, Watermelons, Pumpkins, Sweet Potatoes, and Winter Squash (Acorn, Butternut, Hubbard).

Container gardening has gained immense popularity among both urban and traditional gardeners. It allows individuals to grow a wide variety of plants in limited spaces while offering portability and ease of maintenance. One of the key innovations that have transformed container gardening is the use of Smart Pots. These fabric containers have revolutionized the way plants are grown in pots, offering numerous advantages over traditional plastic or ceramic pots.

Understanding Smart Pots:

  1. Fabric Construction: Smart Pots are made from a durable and breathable fabric material, typically a polypropylene blend. This fabric is designed to allow air to penetrate the sides of the pot, promoting better root aeration and preventing root circling.

  2. Design Variety: Smart Pots come in various sizes and shapes, from small 1-gallon pots to large 100-gallon containers. They are available in round, square, and rectangular shapes, catering to the specific needs of different plants and garden spaces.

  3. Handles and Portability: Many Smart Pots feature built-in handles that make it easy to move and rearrange your garden, even when the pots are filled with soil and plants.

  4. Reusable: Smart Pots are designed to be reusable season after season, reducing the need for disposable containers and contributing to sustainable gardening practices.

Benefits of Smart Pots:

  1. Improved Aeration: The breathable fabric construction of Smart Pots ensures that roots receive adequate oxygen, preventing problems like root rot and enhancing overall plant health.

  2. Prevents Root Circling: Unlike traditional pots with smooth sides, Smart Pots' fabric texture prevents root circling. This encourages the development of a robust root system, which is essential for healthy and vigorous plant growth.

  3. Temperature Regulation: Smart Pots help regulate soil temperature. In hot weather, the fabric dissipates excess heat, preventing the roots from overheating. In colder weather, the fabric insulates the soil, protecting roots from freezing.

  4. Optimal Drainage: Smart Pots have superior drainage, preventing waterlogged soil. This reduces the risk of root diseases caused by excess moisture.

  5. Air Pruning: As roots reach the edge of the Smart Pot, they encounter the air-permeable fabric. This air pruning process causes the roots to branch out instead of circling, resulting in a healthier and more efficient root system.

  6. Enhanced Growth: Plants grown in Smart Pots often exhibit faster growth rates and higher yields compared to traditional containers. The improved root structure and aeration directly contribute to this enhanced growth.

Applications of Smart Pots:

  1. Vegetable Gardening: Smart Pots are ideal for growing vegetables in limited spaces such as balconies, patios, or small gardens. They are available in various sizes, making them suitable for different types of vegetables.

  2. Flower Gardens: Smart Pots can be used to grow colorful flowers, enhancing the beauty of any outdoor space. Their portability allows for easy garden redesigns and rearrangements.

  3. Herb Gardens: Growing herbs in Smart Pots is a popular choice among culinary enthusiasts. The excellent drainage and aeration promote healthy herb growth.

  4. Fruit Trees: Some gardeners use larger Smart Pots to cultivate dwarf fruit trees. These containers provide an ideal environment for fruit tree root systems.

  5. Indoor Gardening: Smart Pots are suitable for indoor gardening as well. They can be used to grow herbs, small vegetables, or decorative plants in well-lit indoor spaces.

Smart Pots have redefined container gardening by offering superior aeration, root health, and overall plant growth. Their versatile design, portability, and reusable nature make them a valuable addition to any gardener's toolkit, whether you're growing vegetables, flowers, herbs, or fruit trees. With Smart Pots, you can create a thriving garden even in the smallest of spaces while promoting healthier, more productive plants.

Gardening enthusiasts and horticulturists are continually seeking innovative ways to enhance plant growth, maximize yields, and improve root health. One such innovation that has revolutionized the gardening world is the Smart Pot 20-Gallon container. These fabric pots offer a host of benefits that traditional containers can't match. In this guide, we will delve into the features, advantages, and versatility of the Smart Pot 20-Gallon, explaining why it's a game-changer for gardeners of all levels.

Understanding the Smart Pot 20-Gallon:

The Smart Pot 20-Gallon is a fabric container designed to provide an optimal environment for plant growth. It is constructed from a unique, porous fabric that offers several advantages over traditional plastic or ceramic pots. The 20-gallon size is particularly popular among gardeners because it accommodates a wide range of plants, from vegetables and herbs to shrubs and small trees.

Key Features and Benefits:

  1. Air Pruning: The fabric material of the Smart Pot allows air to penetrate the container and reach the plant's roots. This air pruning effect prevents root circling and encourages the growth of a dense, healthy root system. As a result, plants are better equipped to absorb water and nutrients.

  2. Temperature Regulation: Unlike plastic pots, which can become hot and heat up the soil, the breathable fabric of the Smart Pot helps regulate soil temperature. It keeps the roots cooler during hot weather and prevents them from becoming too cold in chilly conditions, promoting optimal plant growth year-round.

  3. Enhanced Drainage: The porous fabric promotes excellent drainage, preventing overwatering and waterlogged soil. This is particularly beneficial for plants that are sensitive to excessive moisture.

  4. Compact Storage: Smart Pot containers are collapsible and can be easily stored when not in use, making them a convenient choice for gardeners with limited storage space.

  5. Versatile Usage: The Smart Pot 20-Gallon is versatile and suitable for a wide range of gardening applications. Whether you're growing vegetables, flowers, herbs, or trees, these containers can accommodate your plants' needs.

  6. Durability: Smart Pot containers are built to last. They are UV-resistant and can withstand the rigors of outdoor gardening, maintaining their structural integrity over multiple growing seasons.

How to Use the Smart Pot 20-Gallon:

Using the Smart Pot 20-Gallon is straightforward:

  1. Choose a Location: Select a suitable location for your container, ensuring it receives the right amount of sunlight for your specific plants.

  2. Fill with Soil: Fill the Smart Pot with high-quality potting mix or garden soil. Ensure the soil is well-draining for optimal results.

  3. Plant Your Selection: Plant your chosen vegetables, herbs, flowers, or shrubs in the container following the recommended spacing and planting depth for each plant type.

  4. Water Regularly: Monitor the moisture levels in the container and water as needed. The breathable fabric promotes even moisture distribution.

  5. Maintenance: Prune and care for your plants as you would in traditional containers or garden beds. The Smart Pot's benefits will support healthier and more robust growth.

  6. Harvest and Enjoy: When your plants are ready for harvest, enjoy the fruits of your labor, knowing that the Smart Pot contributed to their success.

The Smart Pot 20-Gallon is a gardening innovation that offers numerous advantages for plant health, growth, and overall gardening success. Its unique fabric construction promotes air pruning, regulates temperature, enhances drainage, and accommodates a wide range of plants. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting, these fabric containers provide an efficient and convenient solution to elevate your gardening experience. Explore the versatility and benefits of the Smart Pot 20-Gallon and watch your plants thrive like never before.

Review - Tweet Cute
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
**Disclaimer: I was given a free e-ARC of the below in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley** Title Tweet Cute Author Emma Lord Release Date January 21, 2020 Description from Amazon Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming ― mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account. Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time. All’s fair in love and cheese ― that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life ― on an anonymous chat app Jack built. As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate ― people on the internet are shipping them?? ― their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals can’t ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected. Initial Thoughts Ok, can I just take a minute to talk about the fact that I’m reviewing a book that’s coming out in 2020?!? Seriously, where did the year go? It feels like just yesterday I didn’t even know what an ARC was, and now, I’m reviewing books for 2020! Anyway, I was chosen for a Blog Tour of this book in January but I couldn’t resist reading it early and writing this review. Some Things I Liked Gossip Girl vibes. I. Love. Gossip Girl. This book had all the best parts of that story without any of the needless bitchy-ness. I loved that. And, it was self-referencing (in a way). The story cited its parallels to the hit show and I just loved that. Additionally, I loved all of the references to various bits of pop culture. Alternating POV. This was perfectly done. Since our main characters are both harboring secrets that the other doesn’t know, the POVs made this story so much more fun to follow. Grilled Cheese. Buddy the Elf’s food groups are candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup. Mine are grilled cheese, mac and cheese, donuts, and peanut butter cups. This whole story revolved around one of the most epic foods in existence. I also really enjoyed the multi-generational element in both of these rivaling restaurants. Favorite Quote “Full-time vice principal and part-time thief of joy.” “Thief of joy” is one of my favorite things that Michael calls Dwight on The Office. When I saw it used here, I literally laughed out loud. Final Thoughts This book was adorable. I loved every page. I applied for it kind of on a whim since I really don’t read many contemporary novels but this really caught my eye. I’m so excited to be participating in the blog tour in a few months. In the meantime, ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR, like ASAP (or as Michael Scott would say, ASA P as possible 😉). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommendations for Further Reading Flawed by Becky Bird – if you like cute, contemporary romance stories, definitely give this new release by Becky Bird a try. Cupid’s Match by Lauren Palphreyman – this book isn’t out yet but if you enjoyed the setting and characters in Tweet Cute, definitely give this new release a try.

cute enough but not a reread
Format: Kindle
there's a ton of descriptive text, not enough character dialog for me. the story was okay, but the bulk of the plot development happened in like the last 3 chapters. the first 60% of the book was just boring in a way. the story kept focusing on the wrong feud in my opinion and it wasn't entertaining. just my opinion. i could've lived without this read

Maybe…
Format: Paperback
⭐️=3.5 (rounded to 4) 🌶️=0 Age rating=13+ Ok so ngl I don’t get the hype for this book, it feels laggy and forced at times, and the idea is great (twitter war, stolen grilled cheese recipes, etc) but I believe the outcome didn’t quite reach the mark as I was hoping. Overall I wasn’t in love but still happy I read it, if your looking for smth similar I highly recommend authors Sarah Desson, Clara Neilson, and Alex Light. —MaryLRogers😘

Cute, fun, witty story!
Format: Hardcover
4.5 stars from me because this is the cutest, wittiest, most fun story I’ve read in awhile. Debut author and former Bustle employee, Emma Lord, knows the Twitterverse and modern landscape in which she writes and it shines brightly. On top of being deeply invested in this story, I think I have an extra appreciation for this because I work in social media, and love all the talk of brands, campaigns, PR moves on social, etc. Which brings us to our characters... Jack and Pepper are classmates whose families own popular, competing restaurants in NYC. One day, a Twitter feud breaks out between the twos business leaving Jack & Pepper unknowingly dueling it out in a battle of wits and memes from their respective brand pages. What happens when they find out who is on the other side of the tweet war? And what about all of those feelings they’ve developed for each other IRL? Tweet Cute masterfully tells the story of growing up in the modern world and finding yourself, and your people along the way. While this is labeled “romance” and certainly is at times, I would say that the romance aspect is a slow burn and actually isn’t what made me love this novel. I loved it for it’s sweet, sweet storyline that tied in everything millennials & gen Zers deal with on a daily basis (social media, viral posts, etc.) with its witty quips, fun characters and so much more. Jack, Pepper, and all of their respective family members and friends are characters I can totally see living in a TV series someday, that’s how much fun they are. If you’re looking for a breezy, lighthearted, adorable story to lose yourself in this year, add Tweet Cute to your TBR, now! I want to thank NetGalley, Emma Lord and Wednesday Books for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great fun read
Format: Kindle
Pepper is your typical high school perfectionist and overachiever, something she has control over while her family is falling apart. Her mom is busy keeping their-once small town-fast food restaurant off the ground as an ultra successful chain, and let’s be realistic here, Pepper is as well since she secretly has a large hand in the social media aspect. Her sister is away at college and has a strained relationship with their mom and their dad is back in their hometown managing the original Big League Burger. Jack is the son of a rival burger shop, twin, and class clown. He usually prefers to fly under the radar where most things are concerned, perfectly content with hiding away developing his apps. Apps like the one being banned at school. The one he designed, for students only, to anonymously post under the guise of an animal. That is, until Big League steals his family’s grilled cheese recipe. Only then does he find himself locked in a twitter war with Pepper. What neither realize is that they’re falling for each other behind animal faces on his app while the twitter war goes viral. I enjoyed this book, but I didn’t love it quite as much as the other work I’ve read by Emma. I found the beginning a little hard to get into and I wasn’t a huge fan of how the two were forced to spend time together, but after four chapters or so I was hooked and didn’t want to put it down. The banter we love is there between the characters and they’re almost sickeningly cute together. Though I have to admit, I love the PepperJack ship. The name is too perfect. I loved Jack’s opinion of being on Twitter, yelling into a void. Just a great, fun read overall.
