Foliage Focus by Growth Technology is formulated for indoor plants where foliage is the feature, including Monstera, Pothos, Ficus, Philodendron, Ferns, Syngonium, Sansevieria, ZZ, Epipremnum and more.

Especially popular for variegated foliage due to their higher sensitivity to fertiliser salts, slower growth rate and increased risk of fertiliser burn.

Unique benefits of GT Foliage Focus

CALCIUM: An essential mineral yet the majority of fertilisers have no calcium. Calcium deficiency can cause cracked, split, cupped or curling leaves, slow, stunted or deformed growth, and buds that die before flowering. All GT formulas include calcium.

COMPLETE AND BALANCED: All 12 essential nutrients plants require, and nothing they don’t, in crop-specific balanced ratios. All at guaranteed levels, all listed on the label. Reduces the risk of both deficiencies and excesses. Guaranteed no sodium.

NO CHLORIDES: Highest salt index ingredient used in most fertilisers. Increases risk of fertiliser burn. Excess can cause scorched leaf edges, smaller leaves and slow or stunted growth. All GT formulas guaranteed chloride free.

UREA FREE: Most common nitrogen source used in fertilisers. Difficult for indoor plants in soil-less potting mixes to convert urea into life-giving nitrogen. Excess urea can accumulate in potted plants, increasing risk of fertiliser burn. GT uses ammonium nitrate instead. More expensive but more available to plants. All GT formulas guaranteed urea free.

CHELATED MINERALS: Pronounced ‘key-lay-ted’ (like a key in a door). Chelation unlocks difficult to absorb metal minerals, keeping them water-soluble and readily available, helping avoid deficiencies. All GT formulas include chelated metal minerals.

pH BUFFERED: Soil pH matters. Too acidic and some nutrients turn toxic, while others like nitrogen and calcium get blocked in the soil, harder for plants to absorb. Too alkaline and essentials like iron and phosphorus become locked and less available. Look for signs like leaf tip death or wilting even when properly watered. Most indoor plants prefer slightly acidic pH around 6. GT is pH buffered to create the ideal, slightly acidic pH plants thrive in, for maximum nutrient availability.

Directions

Although each formula is different, GT is formulated to one dilution rate across the range:

For hydro and semi-hydro: 5 to 7 mls per 1 litre water, every time you change or top-up the water

For soil / potting mix: 3 to 5mls (1 teaspoon = 5mls) per 1 litre water, every time you water.

Adjust dilution rate according to your plant's needs: For a mixed jungle use the general maintenance dose: dilute 5mls per 1 litre water. For lighter feeders or slower growers: dilute 3mls per 1 litre water. For heavy feeders or fast growers dilute up to 10mls (2 teaspoons) per 1 litre water.

Size: Available in 250ml or 1 litre size

GT Foliage Focus FAQs:

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?
Focus nutrients should be fed to plants at least once a week during active periods of growth eg spring and summer.

CAN I USE IT MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK?
Yes, you can. Outstanding results have been reported by growers who use 5-10ml per litre with each watering. The important thing to remember is to never exceed 10ml per litre. Exceeding the recommended dilution rate can lead to the rapid onset of adverse effects e.g. root and leaf burn.

SHOULD I FEED PLANTS DIFFERENTLY IN SUMMER AND WINTER?
Yes. Plant growth varies in line with seasonal changes. Summer represents a period of active growth for the overwhelming majority of plants due to the warmer weather and as a result feeding is required. Winter represents a period of dormancy and very little or no feeding is required.

CAN I USE FOCUS PRODUCTS ON SEEDLINGS?
You most certainly can. However, it is imperative that a weak solution of 5ml per litre is not exceeded in the first few weeks of growth. As the plant becomes established and exhibits signs of active growth, the nutrient strength can be progressively increased.

CAN FOCUS PRODUCTS BE USED AS A FOLIAR SPRAY?
Absolutely! Plants are able to take up nutrient through their leaves in addition to their roots. Foliage feeding is a great way to give your favourite plant a quick nutritional boost. Do not exceed 5ml per litre and avoid spraying during the heat of the day or in direct sunlight.

MY POTTING MIX HAS SLOW RELEASE FERTILISER IN IT – CAN I STILL USE FOCUS PRODUCTS?
You can but the dilution rate needs to be halved in order to avoid over feeding the plant. The problem with fertilizer enriched potting mixes is the uncertainty regarding which minerals and additives are present and in which quantity. For best results, consider using coco fibre. Apart from its exceptional water holding capacity, it is available in a pure and unadulterated form which makes it a perfect partner for Focus products.

Actually Durable
Color: B) Medium 3" Ball
One of the few "heavy duty" toys that my pittie hasn't destroyed after a couple of weeks. Most of them last two days. She's an absolute beast so I'm confident if she can't destroy it, few dogs can.

Not for aggressive chewers!
Color: H) Infinity Ring, Color: H) Infinity Ring
Not for aggressive chewers! Done for in about two minutes. I unboxed this and tugged with my Mal for a but then let her have it. Within minutes she had chewed through it. Not worth the money.

Not Quite So Durable...
Color: B) Medium 3" Ball, Color: B) Medium 3" Ball
Maybe I have a SUPER aggressive chewer...he went through this ball in under a week. I originally bought the ball because of a review that stated the owner's Pitbull had the same ball for two years; not so much for my Rottweiler. He started chewing off and swallowing small crumbs from the ball within a day or two. By the end of the week, it was chunks so I had to toss it in the trash to prevent an intestinal obstruction. On the up side, my Rottweiler LOVED the ball while it lasted. However, I can't, in good conscience, give this ball a rave review based on this experience. Please take this review with a grain of salt as I have yet to find ANY toy that my boy won't DESTROY in a week or two. I hope that someone finds this informative when searching for chew toys for SUPER aggressive chewers like mine.
