It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Best plush ever!!! My boys absolutely love it; they normally destroy plushies within 5 minutes but they’ve both been carrying theirs around all day. The lack of stuffing means I won’t have an explosion to clean up, and the squeaker is huge (it’s the main bulk of the body) so I don’t have to worry about them accidentally swallowing it. Great size, well made, great texture/materials.

Sturdy and cleans teeth!

My chihuahua and I play catch with this hedgehog chewy and it's perfect! It's very slightly large for him but he likes carrying it, can do so well, and it cleans his teeth! Plus the large squeaky insight gets him pretty excited. I appreciate the slightly lower tone. Also, the items arrived NOT soaked in fragrance like so many pet products. Very grateful. 5 stars!

Squeaky Ball Doesn’t Squeak for Long

My large dogs like these, though their teeth punctured the squeaky ball inside almost immediately. So, the ball inside is not durable. They still play with them though and I like how there’s no stuffing inside.

BEST Dog Toy

These hedge hogs w/ball toys are AWESOME! They're the only toy I've found that my yr old miniature schnauzer, Murphy, can't destroy in an hour and he LOVES them. Plus have been the best toy out of a dozen or so other toys he maintains an interest in. Thank you ! !
